EURO-NOTES 2012 is the 6th joint meeting of the European Association for Endoscopic Surgery (EAES) and the European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) on Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery (NOTES) and will take place from October 4 – 6, 2012 in Prague, Czech Republic.
The format of the EURO-NOTES 2012 workshop has been further developed and this year the focus will be on advanced interventional endoscopy. Experts in laparoscopic surgery and interventional endoscopy engaged in NOTES research / clinical practice as well as biomedical industry will remain highly involved. Emphasis is placed on intensive scientific dialogue and interaction between the participants to discuss the state of the art of NOTES practice and development in Europe.
Gastroenterologists and surgeons from throughout Europe, together with participants from the biomedical industry will meet to discuss and debate the challenges and obstacles of implementing Natural Orifice Transluminal Endoscopic Surgery and advanced interventional endoscopy into clinical practice.
Hands-on training on biologic models will for the first time enhance the workshop. Offered to a limited number of registrants on the Saturday, participants may sign in for this activity when registering for the workshop.
Authors of top accepted posters aged 40 years or under will receive a travel grant (€ 500) and waived registration fee. All other authors of accepted abstracts for poster presentation will be offered the reduced early bird registration fee.
EURO-NOTES 2012 is designed as a working conference on NOTES and advanced interventional endoscopy. Delegates are greatly encouraged to register in “teams” composed of a surgeon and a gastroenterologist.
